EICR remedial work in Essex
An inspection report should lead to a clear next step. Send us the complete EICR so we can discuss the recorded defects, the work required and a quotation for putting them right.

Start with the report, not a guess
Please send every page of the electrical installation condition report, including its observations and test results. A photograph of the overall outcome alone rarely gives enough information to price the repair. Include any quotation you already have if you want us to assess the same scope.
We will review the information and explain whether a visit or further investigation is needed before a firm quotation. A report may identify several separate issues; the repair plan should show which observations each item addresses.
Agree the repair before work starts
Depending on the findings, the work might involve electrical accessories, a circuit, connections or the consumer unit. We assess the recorded defects and the existing installation before recommending the scope. A consumer unit replacement is not automatically the answer to every unsatisfactory report.
- Identify the observations to be addressed.
- Confirm access to the property and affected circuits.
- Set out the proposed work, materials and exclusions.
- Discuss testing and the documentation relevant to the completed work.
When the original inspection was by another electrician
You can still send us the report. We may need to inspect the installation ourselves or clarify the findings before quoting. Tell us who needs the completion paperwork and whether the property is occupied, being sold or managed for a landlord.
Plan access and any interruption to power
Let us know about tenant access, keys, parking, working-hour restrictions and equipment that needs a continuous supply. We will discuss the likely interruption for the agreed work. Send any deadline at the first enquiry so we can confirm whether the diary fits.
Request a remedial-work quotation
Send the full report, property postcode, photographs of the consumer unit and your contact details. We will explain the next step and whether additional assessment is required. If a report identifies an immediate danger, follow the inspector’s safety advice and telephone to discuss urgent attendance.
Questions before you book
Can you quote from an EICR?
The complete report is a useful starting point. Some repairs can be scoped from the report and photographs; others need an inspection or investigation before a firm price.
Will the quotation cover every observation?
We will identify the observations included in the agreed work and explain any exclusions. Ask about anything in the report that is unclear before booking.
Can you arrange the original inspection too?
Yes. If you do not yet have a report, use our EICR and electrical testing service to discuss the property and inspection scope.
