An EICR records the condition of an electrical installation at the time of the inspection. It is useful when managing a property, investigating concerns or planning improvements. The inspection scope and any limitations should be agreed before the visit.

Please tell us the property type, approximate size, number of consumer units and whether it is occupied or used for business. We will explain access requirements and any interruption to power during testing.

If the report identifies work that needs attention, we can discuss the findings and provide a separate quotation for agreed remedial work. An inspection price should not be confused with a price that includes every possible repair.

Is remedial work included in an EICR?

Unless expressly stated in your quotation, the inspection and any subsequent remedial work are separate. We will explain the findings and price the agreed repairs.

Will the power need to be off?

Some testing requires circuits to be isolated. We will discuss this with you when arranging the appointment.
